Samurai Swordsmen

Instructions

A gong chimes as both fighters face each other... then the 'Fight!' message appears, the clock starts and the battle begins.

Each player always attacks in the direction he is looking but can move and jump left or right at any time. Players can't go 'through' each other, but they can jump over each other. Once a player is jumping he/she cannot change directions mid-air. However, he can change what direction the avatar is looking in (sort of a jump with a spin).

Each player starts with 100 health points. Successful sword attacks are the way to win (10 points damage). Also, a kick to the head will count as a minor hit. Jumping & landing on the opponent does 2 points damage. All successful attacks will disorient the opponent briefly so he cannot attack right away. As time goes on any lost points are regained.

A fighter that lands on an opponent just past the center will keep going in the same direction, otherwise the fighter will come back in the direction he came from. Landing close enough to the center can sometimes result in a 'double-kick' (4 points).

Each match last 90 seconds. You win by having more health points than the opponent when the match ends, OR you can win sooner than that by wounding the opponent bad enough to incapacitate him (opponent falls to his knees). Play as may rounds as you like, the number of wins are displayed for each opponent.
